Jose Mourinho's Manchester United prepare for their International Champions Cup match against arch rivals Manchester City at the National Stadium in Beijing, China on Sunday (24th July).
Monday night in Beijing will see the first time the Manchester derby has been held overseas.
City and United meet in the International Champions Cup at the Olympic Stadium known as the Birds Nest.
United's manager Jose Mourinho will be expected to play returning stars such as Wayne Rooney and David De Gea, yet Mourinho is concerned by the quality of the pitch:
"I think Beijing is also unlucky because the pitch is very bad. The conditions of my players are more important than the results in pre-season. So, it is not a problem for me to lose matches in pre-season. It's a problem for me if there are bad conditions for my players to train and bad conditions for my players to play. So if you ask me for my objective for the match tomorrow, I have only one - take the players home safe."
The National Stadium is used for football only once or twice a year, and recent heavy rainfall in the Chinese capital has damaged the new surface.
Meanwhile a lot of pre game talk has focused on whether Mourinho will shake hands with Pep Guardiola:
"That is a question that I don't want to qualify the question. Because to qualify the question I would use some unpolite words. Of course I'll shake his hand. Of course. Why we shouldn't? I don't understand the question to him and I don't understand the question to myself.."
The pair had a volatile relationship during their time in charge of Spain's big two and Monday night's game is sure to mean just that little bit more to both managers.
