The Stade de France will be the setting for the opening game of Euro 2016 as hosts France take on Romania on June 10th.

The famous stadium certainly provides a fitting setting for the occasion, given its status as France's largest stadium with 81,338 seats.

Opened for the 1998 World Cup, the Stade de France has since accommodated nearly 30 million spectators in a wide range of events.

The ground is Located in the Saint-Denis district of Paris, where is shares space with some iconic landmarks.

As well as hosting the opening match of the tournament the Stadium will also be the location for the tournament’s final.

As host nation France will be hoping they start and finish their Euro 2016 campaign in the grand surroundings of the Stade de France.
