Cristiano Ronaldo limped out of a Real Madrid training session on Tuesday (24th May), just days before the UEFA Champions League final against arch-rivals and neighbours Atletico.
It's what every Real Madrid fan never wants to see, especially just four days away from the Champions League final against bitter rivals Atletico Madrid.
Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a thigh problem in training on Tuesday after colliding with reserve goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.
He received treatment on the field but appeared visibly worried and angry as he headed to the changing rooms.
Prior to the session, Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane admitted that Ronaldo sat out a full training match on Saturday, but described it as a precaution.
Now, Zidane, players and fans will be forced to anxiously wait and see whether the Portuguese star will be fit enough to take to the field Saturday evening.
Speaking earlier, Zidane was full of praise for Atletico head coach, Diego Simeone.
SOUNDBITE (French) Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid coach:
"He's doing a great job. (Atletico Madrid coach Diego) Simeone is one of the greatest coaches in Europe and in the world. He knows football very well and he knows his players very well. He knows what he has to do with his team to get them to the end. It's not me who says so. It's the facts that show he's part of a group of magnificent coaches."
Zidane will be hoping he won't have to go up against Simeone without his star.
But given the timing of the injury, the Frenchman may well have started preparing a gameplan that does not involve Cristiano Ronaldo...
