England keeper Joe Hart was full of praise for Three Lions skipper Wayne Rooney and boss Roy Hodgson ahead of this summer's European Championships.

"Wayne's a huge player for us, not only on the field but off the pitch he brings a lot of togetherness. He keeps it very real. Wayne Rooney is a world-renowned megastar especially in terms of football, but to be in a group with him, in a group of lads, he treats everyone the same, he's got a lot of respect, he has a lot of fun and I think he really does enjoy the role as captain and he tries to make people feel as comfortable as he possibly can."

"He's a very experienced manager, someone who draws on his experience a lot. He knows how to win. He knows how to get the best out of his players, obviously we understand who we are and what we are as a squad and he of all people has spent more time than ever trying to work out the best way to make this squad be a winning squad. So he leads from the front, he takes a lot of training sessions, he tries to keep at one with the players as well as also being in charge so he's got a nice balance and he's someone that I really enjoy working for."
