Hertha Berlin travelled to second-tier Heidenheim for a place in the semi-finals of the German Cup
On 10 minutes there was an early shock for Berlin. Marc Schnatterer with the corner, met at the near post, but Berlin goalkeeper Rune Jarstein's blunder put Heidenheim one-up.
But the lead was short lived, just four minutes later this deflected cross found the feet of Vedad Ibisevic.
His second was more memorable, Mitchell Weiser's cross from the right wing arriving in the penalty box for Ibisevic to volley home.
Genki Haraguchi gave the visitors a two-goal cushion shortly before the hour mark. Collecting the ball on the left adn cutting inside two defenders before beating Kevin Muller.
Then Weiser's challenge on Robert Leipertz set up nervy finish.

But the Bundesliga club held on to reach the semis - where they join Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund
