IN OR OUT? Jones names England team

  • Danny Care and Joe Marler will return to England's starting line-up as the side aim to start their 2016 Six Nations campaign on a positive note away to Scotland.

England's Rugby Union boss Eddie Jones has announced the first starting line-up of his reign ahead of the 6 Nations opener against Scotland on Saturday (6th February).

It had been thought that Jones may shake up a side that underperformed at last year’s World Cup. However, he has kept things much the same with nine of the players who started England's last World Cup match named in the team to face Scotland.

Danny Care has been preferred to Ben Youngs at scrum half whilst Joe Marler gets in ahead of Mako Vunipola at loose-head prop.
new captain Dylan Hartley will lead the side out, whilst the man he replaced Chris Robshaw also makes the cut as blindside flanker.

George Ford will play at fly-half with Owen Farell starting alongside him at inside-centre.

All three new caps in the 23 man squad - Ollie Devoto, Jack Clifford and Paul Jones - have been left on the bench.

England have beaten Scotland on their last two visits to Murrayfield, and Jones will be hoping to continue this record on Saturday and get his reign off to a winning start.
