Adam Gase was introduced as the new coach of the Miami Dolphins at a press conference in Miami.

"Well I look at it as, I've been in this profession since I was 18 years-old, so that's really more than half my life right now. And the last three years, being a coordinator both for the Denver Broncos and with the Chicago Bears, it's an accelerated growth. This business, you know, age is only a number but you get older really quick because every week's a growing experience. You learn and I feel like the last three years have really prepared me for this moment."

"I think it's going to start with me. I think he needs a guy that's going to have his back, that he feels comfortable with right out the gate. And I'm going to be working directly with him and then I am going to hire guys on our offensive staff to also help him develop. I feel like when we do put a staff together, we're all going to help him get a little bit better."

"Adam's (Gase) a person that's inspiring to be around you, not only his story but all the passion he has to make himself better. (He) works with a Hall of Fame coach, a Hall of Fame quarterback, it's not good enough, they want to get better. They go around the country just to pick up one or two little things to get better and that's inspiring. That's what leadership's about. So the fact that he hasn't been a head coach before, obviously we talked about it and Steve (Stephen Ross) was comfortable with that. But it was really the attributes we felt that Adam (Gase) possessed that we felt great about that choice.
