Watford midfielder Etienne Capoue says he's "not surprised" by Watford's start to the English Premier League season and added that an international recall to France would be " a bonus, but I am not focussed on this".

SOUNDBITE: (English) Etienne Capoue, Watford midfielder (Q: A lot of people expected Watford to struggle, but you've surprised a few people?)

"We are not surprised because I am inside the group and I can see the talent that we've got in the team. It's true that people are surprised because we are a promoted team and we do well. They are surprised, but us, no. The president make everything for to be good - the coaches, the players, they buy a lot of players, very good players and it was a very good mix and we started very good this season. So now the season is very long in England, we have to carry on and we will see together. The first goal is to stay in the Premier League."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Etienne Capoue, Watford midfielder (Q: Is getting back into the French team a big priority for you at the moment?)

"No it's not my first goal because I am from two difficult years (at Tottenham), now I play, I enjoy my club, so my first goal is to play every game here, to give everything on the pitch to look to myself and say 'oh you did a very good year'. So now if France comes it's very good for me, it's a bonus, but I am not focussed on this and I will see later."

"I think it's not a pressure for me to be the record signing, I think it's good for me to be like this - that is to say, they are really interested in me and I will try to give it all to justify their choice. I think until now I have done well and I will try to give it my all."
