SOUNDBITE: (English) Lawrence Dallaglio, 2003 Rugby World Cup winner (on four Southern Hemisphere teams in the RWC semi-finals):

"Now, if you look at the World Cup trophy, and trust me I have been lucky enough to be close up to it a few times, you know this the eighth Rugby World Cup and six of them have been won by the Southern Hemisphere. So, should we be surprised? Maybe one team (Northern Hemisphere) has not made it on - as you say, injuries have not helped Wales and Ireland. I don't think England were good enough to make it in, quite frankly, and Scotland were desperately unlucky, they were one kick away. So, you know before we rush into how we've got across into the Northern Hemisphere, what I would say is that if you want to win a World Cup, you have to develop a style of rugby that is going to beat the best teams in the world - and sometimes we get a little bit obsessed with beating each other and forget that the best teams in the world are on the other side of the equator."
