  • SuggestedLeadIn: New Zealand assistant coach Ian Foster and players Aaron Smith, Nehe Milner-Skudder and Dane Coles look ahead to the All Blacks' Rugby World Cup final meeting with Australia

Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Ian Foster, New Zealand assistant coach:

"It's a Rugby World Cup final. It's.... we've talked about this particular game for a long, long time. We've wanted to be here. We've had to work hard to be here and, now for all the team, whether they are thinking of moving or not, this is, it's all about the here and the now. This is the moment, and there will be plenty of time afterwards to talk about people, but, we don't want to waste this opportunity, so we're putting everything we can into, into doing what, the only thing we can do, which is prepare well day by day."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Aaron Smith, New Zealand scrum-half:

"Yeah, I had a little moment after the game the other day I guess thinking about how, it's here (the World Cup final), and all the talk about the last few years has been about always heading towards us and as a player you've always got to it to the back of your mind, but it's finally at the point now where you can actually talk about it because we've earned the right to, play in this, in the game that everyone wants to be a part of this year and, we're there and that really excites me and, I wouldn't say that's how I wanted it to work out, but it's worked out that way and I'm very happy it has."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Nehe Milner-Skudder, New Zealand winger (on being nominated for the Rugby World Cup's breakthrough award):

"I only just found out, just before I sat down. So.... oh yeah, blown away mate. Just, enjoying every minute of it at the moment and, yeah, it's a privilege to be, nominated for that award."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Dane Coles, New Zealand hooker (on Australia's scrummaging at this World Cup):

"Oh, they've been huge mate. They've taken their scrum to another level, so we've got to make sure we, do the work during the week so we can counter that. So, yeah, they've been real consistent throughout the tournament, especially the forward pack. So, yeah, they've put a lot of work into, being a dominant pack in world rugby."
