SuggestedLeadIn: Reaction from coach Heyneke Meyer after New Zealand beat South Africa 20-18 to reach the World Cup final.

"I thought that we had a perfect first half. I thought that we executed well, played the right game plan and our discipline was one hundred percent intact. We kept on turning them, put pressure on them and built scoreboard pressure. (In the) second half, I don't think we adapted well enough to the rainy conditions. They kept on turning us then and we made a few mistakes and I've always said that it's going to come down right to discipline and although there weren't a lot of penalties in the second half, one penalty was the difference between winning and losing."

(on how proud he is of what they've achieved after losing their opening game to Japan)
"I'm very proud. I don't think a lot of people gave us any chances. We have always believed and have grown as a team and (have shown) great leadership and the guys came through and the youngsters really matured. So I'm very very proud of the guys but only a win is good enough for South Africa and for me as a coach. I don't believe in loser talk. We gave everything and it wasn't good enough and it will never be good enough, if I coach South Africa, to come close and not win. They are a quality side. They handled the pressure better than us when they came back. So I am proud of where we came (from - the loss to Japan at the start of the tournament) but you know we had our chances today and we should have taken them. We should have been in the final. So I'm proud of the guys but definitely not happy and I'll never settle for second best.
