SOUNDBITE: (English) Richie McCaw, Captain - New Zealand:

"The scoreboard would suggest so I guess. Look, going into this week we realised the intensity of what was required was going to have to go up a notch and we prepared as such and I thought that the way in which we started the game was...well that was what was spot on. We played at the right end of the field with plenty of sting when we didn't have the ball and you know, I think we got rewarded as the game went on because of the way we started. But, you know the reality is that all we have done is earned another week so it doesn't matter by how much (you win) you have just got to go to next week. So we are definitely not getting ahead of ourselves but we are pretty happy with the improvement in that intensity which is required at knockout time."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Steve Hansen, Coach - New Zealand:

"Look, it was a pretty special performance there is no doubt about that. Could you feel it building?..well, as I said earlier in the week when we named the team, there is a difference between Pool play and knockout play and obviously it creates an edge in itself. If you don't turn up you go home and tonight we turned up and attitude plays a massive part in any sporting event and it certainly showed tonight that when you have got the attitude, coupled with the talent you can do certain things."
