SOUNDBITE: (English) Warren Gatland, Wales head coach:

"The guys put their bodies on the line, gave it everything. Emptied the tank. That's all we can ask of them, unfortunately we weren't good enough to hold on for 80 minutes. Credit to South Africa, they stayed in the game and unfortunately you know.... we're very disappointed."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Sam Warburton, Wales captain:

"I couldn't have asked any more of the guys. From an effort point of view, we have no regrets. But for me, the 12 points in the first half.... we gave away four penalties, all of which really we weren't under that much pressure. Having said we can't give away any penalties in that area of the field and we did. For me, those 12 points were probably the most crucial 12 points we gave away. It's essentially two tries. Other than that in the first half, they didn't really stretch our try-line. So to give 12 points away like what was a little bit disappointing."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Warren Gatland, Wales head coach:  (about Fourie du Preez try.)

"Potentially, maybe Lloyd Williams should have gone in hard on the ball because the scrum had screwed a little bit. And then potentially Alex (Cuthbert) should have stayed out. It's a great bit of skill isn't it? He stayed on his feet and got a pass around the back. I think Argentina scored like that against South Africa. They've picked it up from them potentially. It's disappointing from us, but you've got to acknowledge the skill of South Africa scoring that try."
