"We came here knowing it was going to be hard for us and it proved to be, we threw everything at it but credit to South Africa, they came out firing from the start and we found ourselves on the back foot, and that is how it ended up at the end of the game."

"Probably the toughest year of my career, started right before the first game and hasn't stopped yet, how do I feel? Already focused on this one, no time to enjoy this one although the players probably will, we have to have the same intensity, the same desire to play for our country, especially the guys, there was not a lot of people that backed us but there were a lot back home, and it was amazing to leave the hotel to see people believing in us."

"It's not good enough to have one performance like that, we scored 6 tries but i am proud of our defence, Samoa is a quality side and we were maybe lucky at times, but we stuck to our game plan, they couldn't get forward but the thing I am proudest of was the players put their bodies on the line with some many injuries and you have to do it week in week out with this squad, but I am proud of our defence to keep them out, no tries, its a quality unit that really listened, put their bodies on the line and it was very physical out there so, to all the players, there was a lot of criticism of the team, to put on a performance like that I salute them."
