SOUNDBITE (English) Jerome Kano, New Zealand:
"For us getting into this game we knew that Namibia would put forward a physical challenge but for us it wasn't about how we won. Well, it wasn't about the win, it was about how we won and how we played and especially in the middle part of that game it was a little bit frustrating how we weren't able to put the phases together that we wanted. It's down to us dropping our skill level but also Namibia put us under pressure at the breakdown and how they defended so we've got to take our hat off to the way they played. so going forward I'm sure we need to pay attention to detail and just get our basics right."
SOUNDBITE (English) Sonny Bill Williams, New Zealand:
"Physically they came to play, and they kept and played from the front. They pulled off a few big hits. I think overall as a back line I know we were pretty happy with the first half. I know the boys were clear cut. The comms that were coming in from the outside were nice and clear, there wasn't a lot of clutter. We were fairly decisive about how we wanted to play. The second half was probably a little more scrappier but those are things we have to work on during the week. You know world cups are a different beast and we were just happy to get the win. Make a few adjustments during the week and try and build on it."
SOUNDBITE (English) Malakai Fekitoa, New Zealand:
"You know it was quite tough for me on my first run out and it was frustrating. I wasn't happy with my performance but as a team we've got a lot to learn, we've got a lot of stuff to keep getting better on. Just the little things, the skills and most times we forced the passing and we couldn't get it out wide and create the depth and they forced us to do that."
