"It's good, obviously it's disappointing to pick up a couple of well documented injuries to a couple of our first team players. It's disappointing but that's the nature of the beast unfortunately. All players have those moments in their careers and we've all been there. It's part of what we do. Hopefully they're pretty positive medial reports. We've waiting to see that at the end of today and if they're good then great, if they're not good then we have to battle on it will test the strength in our squad. It will be disappointing for those lads if they do miss out."

"We all know the story of the semi-final and irregardless of the red card, for me it was a match we should have won. We had chances to win it and even with 14 men we should have won it and made a World Cup final. It was a huge chance, a glorious opportunity that got away and one that will probably live with me for a long time, if not the rest of my life. You want the chance to rectify that as an individual and as a team. They only come around once every four years so you have to take that opportunity when it comes and the next few weeks are perfect for that."

"You have to win every game. You have to approach every game to win it. You have four of the top ten best teams in the world in the same group. It's going to be a very, very tough pool to qualify out of. We have to be at our best to win it, we have to be at our best to best England, Australia, Fiji and Uruguay, there's no doubt about it. We're playing against quality sides who can beat anyone in the world on their day. You do all this work for four bouts of 80 minutes."
