SOUNDBITE: (English) Shaun Edwards, Wales defence coach:

"You do want momentum going into the World Cup. You're obviously keeping your fingers crossed about injuries. Trouble is, you don't want to get someone injured so late, but in the end you need match practise, otherwise you're going to under-cooked going into what is a massive occasion, being the rugby World Cup."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Shaun Edwards, Wales defence coach:

It's a necessary sort of evil in a way that you have to have pre-season games. It's the same when you're at club rugby and you just continue keeping your fingers crossed that you don't get any injuries and you get the required hit out you need to have that match fitness under your belts so you're firing on all cylinders. And it's probably more important come World Cup time, because you have to be peaking in September and October. Whereas, you know, with a club team you can get off to a slow start and you can recover, as the season goes on. But in this competition you can't."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Shaun Edwards, Wales defence coach: (about the key attributes a team needs to win the World Cup):

"Having a bit of a winning experience helps. Having won in an international shirt. You look at that 2003 England team. They had a lot of battle-hardened experienced players. I think that certainly helps. And there's obviously certain things you need; a good scrum, line-out, defence, etcetera."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Shaun Edwards, Wales defence coach: (about the key attributes a team needs to win the World Cup and Scott Williams):

"When it comes to the big pressure games, we still have selection issues, who we're going to stick our hat on in that number 13 position. I think his performance last week was definitely a step up from him. Hopefully he goes to another level tomorrow, which is the same for all the team really."
