  • New Zealand coach Alan Hansen names his squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup taking place in England.

Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Hansen, New Zealand coach:

"The exciting thing is, when you look at some of our more experienced players, is how well they're playing. Like Ma'a Nonu's playing the best rugby I've seen him play. McCaw, everyone says, look, he's getting old, he's getting old but he's still playing as good as you'll see. Dan Carter's best test match for a long time the other night against Australia. So, whilst we've got experience, we've got in-form experience, which I think's really, really positive. And we've got young people who are excited and in-form as well."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Hansen, New Zealand coach:

"With Waisake, yes, he's injured but he's on the road to recovery. He should be fit to play in the third game, which really effectively means he only misses one 'cause the first two games are four days apart, so he would have played in both of the either - anyway."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Hansen, New Zealand coach:

"What are the rewards of taking Waisake? Well, he's a try scoring machine, he's X factor, he brings something to the team that others in the group don't bring and if he wasn't injured I think we'd all be putting him in the team straight away anyway."
