Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini refused to discuss either the possibility of Kevin de Bruyne joining the club or the UEFA Champions League draw and instead decided to focus his attention on the upcoming Premier League game versus newly-promoted Watford.

Script: SOUNDBITE: (English) Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager: (Question: Can you tell us anything about Kevin de Bruyne?)

"You must continue to ask because the answer is the same one. I don't talk about rumours."

Question: In Germany they're saying it's very close.

Pellegrini: "Maybe they have other information in Germany."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager: (asked about the Champions League group draw).

"I always think the groups are difficult. I think the most difficult team in the group is Watford."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager: (asked if City must do better against the so-called weaker teams in the Premier League this season).

"I think we must understand that to play against Watford is exactly the same as to play against Arsenal or Chelsea or Manchester United. In the Premier League if you play with a little less intensity and not enough concentration anyone can win the game. It's important to continue to play in the same way we did in the first three games and not make the same mistake we made last season."
