Anderlecht consolidated their hold on third place in the Belgian League play-offs with a 1-0 win away to the team in sixth and last place, Sporting Charleroi, on Sunday (May 3rd).

The only goal of the game was scored by Andy Najar after 20 minutes following some good work by Dennis Praet.

The hosts came close to levelling three minutes later when Kalifa Coulibaly hit the post with header.

But after that the chances went Anderlecht's way but they were unable to score a second.

Their win means they remained third, four points behind leaders Gent.

Sporting Charleroi stay sixth, six points behind Anderlecht.
