SOUNDBITE: (English) Garry Monk, Swansea City manager: (about Swansea reaching a club record points total in the Premier League)

"(I'm) Extremely proud of those players, the squad and the staff, everyone. The fans who travel week in week out and at home. We should be extremely proud of this squad to achieve that. A new points tally, a new record. I knew at the start of the season if we committed to the work and if I got the players to commit that we could achieve something special this season, so we should be extremely proud of it."

SOUNDBITE: (English) John Carver, Newcastle United head coach:

"I thought we started the game quite well. As you can see I played a different formation. Played with two strikers and a diamond, with Remy Cabella just behind the two strikers. And I thought we actually played some good football. I thought we could have come in 2-0 up. I thought the goal we scored was a fantastic move. Great Play. And the move that I think led to (Emmanuel) Riviere's header, where the 'keeper made a good save. I thought that was a good move. But I thought we were in control of the game. The only worry was set plays. And we know what we're like at set plays. It's our Achilles heel. To concede in injury time... we had two warnings before the goal came - two free headers - third time lucky for Swansea. I think the guy gets above Jonas (Gutierrez) and puts it in the top corner. So your team talk changes at half time because you could have gone in there 1-0 up, but we're level. It's 1-1. Disappointing, but I was still quite positive because of what I saw in the first half. But we came out in the second half and conceded an early goal. So that's that mad five minutes either side of half time. You could see a little bit of confidence... and when you've gone on a run like we've gone on, then your confidence is going to be a little bit lower. But when they got the second goal you could see it drain out of the players."
