Defending champions Toulon beat Wasps 32-18 to reach the semi-finals of the European Rugby Champions Cup and a last-gasp penalty goal earned Saracens a hard-fought 12-11 win over Racing Metro in their European Rugby Champions Cup quarter-final.

A tough trip to France for both Saracens and Wasps in the Champions Cup quarter finals.

And the defending champions Toulon proved too much for Wasps. It took them just 8 minutes to score the opening try - Mathieu Bastareaud barreling over from close-range.

But Will Helu scored two second half tries to give Wasps a chance.

But minutes after Andy Goode missed the conversion, the hosts scored again.

Former All Black Ali Williams touching down in the corner which Frederic Michalak converted.

It finished 32-18 and Toulon will now play Leinster.

Saracens survived a tough challenge in a dramatic match with Racing Metro in Paris.

All their points came from the boot- Charlie Hodgson in good form.

But Racing then took the lead when Maxime Machenaud crashed over the line after half an hour.

And he looked to have given them a decisive lead with just 9 minutes left as he scored this penalty to make it 11-9.

But with just 10 seconds left Fabrice Metz gave away a penalty to give Saracens a kick for victory..

Marcelo Bosch under immense pressure took it on....and his kick was perfect...sparking scenes of celebration for the Saracens players and misery for Racing.

12-11 the final score and Saracens will face another French side, Clermont Auvergne, in the last four.
