SOUNDBITE: (English) Sam Allardyce, West Ham United manager:

"I think overall, I think that Nigel (Pearson, Leicester City manager) must be tearing his hair out to say why haven't those performances given them more results and I suppose it's the cruelty of the Premier League. On occasions, his team have been in the ascendancy but not taken advantage of it by not scoring or taking advantage of the chances they have created and ultimately they have paid the ultimate price at the end and that's this level for you. When you measure this level over the period of the season, the critical moments if you don't take them are very very costly indeed and for us all in the end, performances are important but it's a results business and those results haven't quite gone as well as his performances have suggested they have so they're still fighting and fighting until the end and somebody at this stage of the season, at that level, at the lower end of the league, can win four out of six (games) or three out of five and give themselves a lifeline. Last year it was Sunderland so that can happen with the performances that Leicester have shown. What we've got to do is make sure that it's not against us, make sure that we are on the top of our game and deliver the performance we will need to to get a result against them."
