  • Intro:

Wales prepared on Wednesday for a top of the table Euro 2016 qualifying Group B clash with Israel.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Neil Taylor, Wales defender (asked if the squad are wary of the atmosphere in Haifa):

"No, we're not wary of it, we're excited about it. That's what you want. That's why we play international football. We want these games to mean something. The atmosphere in Belgium was massive. We managed to get a good result there and it's something different for us, yes it is. It's going to be a different type of atmosphere probably and I don't know what the weather is going to be like, etcetera, but I think, it's something we're all really, really looking forward to and if, and if you want to progress in these campaigns you have to go to these places and try and get something."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Joe Allen, Wales midfielder (on Israel):

"They've hit the ground running, three (wins) in three (games) and.... you don't do that by mistake. They've, obviously got, got strengths and got qualities. Not players that we know, like you said, not household names, from our point of view, that we know very well, but.... preparation will be exactly the same. We'll do all our homework and.... as I've said earlier, yes we want to make sure that we, we make ourselves tough for them to break down, but also put them on the back foot as well."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Neil Taylor, Wales defender (on Gareth Bale, whose car was damaged following Real Madrid's defeat to Barcelona):

"He's fine. Normal Gareth. I think he's, become a bit acclimatised to, to how his life is now with stuff like that. And I think he's fine, normal Gareth. He's been completely fine. He's obviously had a couple of days' rest because he played, slightly later than all of us on the weekend. So, he's fit and ready like everyone and everybody sees, he turns up for every trip.... and always gives his best. So you can see how much he wants it as a Welshman as well."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Joe Allen, Wales midfielder (on Gareth Bale):

"Same as usual. World-class player who.... every minute of every training session shows that. So, it's great to have him here and.... yes, I doubt the Israelis will be looking forward to facing him, on the weekend."
