  • Intro:

England goalkeeper Joe Hart says he reassessed his game when he was dropped from the Manchester City side last year.
Now back as a regular for club and country, the 27-year-old could play in his 50th international next week.

SOUNDBITE (English) Joe Hart, England goalkeeper:

(On playing in front of a sold out Wembley after poor crowds following the World Cup)

"I think all of us fully understood the crowds after the World Cup. We didn't do well. There was a lot promised and we didn't live up to it. You can't hide from that. We are the kind of nation and football team that's going to dig in and we will fight. We want to win every game we play. We are in a massive stadium so we appreciate it's difficult to sell out the stadium sometimes being week night games. It's difficult for the kids to come and stuff like that. It's great to play in front of a full house at Wembley. It's going to be a good night for us."

SOUNDBITE (English) Joe Hart, England goalkeeper:

(On being dropped from the Manchester City team last year)

"That's just part of football. It was my time to come out of the team according to the manager last year. I had to have a sit back and think about how I'm going to make the best of this because it's easy to make the best of good times and that was obviously a difficult time for me. I sat back, thought about what I needed to do and worked will with the manager. Got myself back in the team and got back to playing."

SOUNDBITE (English) Phil Jagielka, England defender:

(On if the England team will be able to find the good form they had last time they met four-and-a-half months ago)

"Hopefully not too tricky. We've got a lot of players who have come to the squad in pretty good form. We're looking forward to going out to Wembley, a packed house and go and put the performance in. Hopefully play as well as we have done in the previous six games and add that seventh win on a run."

SOUNDBITE (English) Phil Jagielka, England defender:

(On how the team has moved on from the disappointment of their 2014 World Cup)

"That was the thought process when we met up after the World Cup that we needed to be positive now. The manager with his team selections and the players that have played have been super positive and the results have gone with it. Not a lot of people would of expected us to go and play so well in Switzerland and get the 2-0 victory and we haven't looked back since."
