Script:
Germany went through a light training session in Frankfurt as they prepare to face Australia in an international friendly on Wednesday.
The Socceroos will take to the field for the first time since being crowned as Asian champions in January 2015.
The venue for the match will the Fritz-Walter Stadion in Kaiserslauten, a stadium Australia will be more than familiar with.
During the 2006 World Cup, Australia played two games at the stadium, a 3-1 group phase win over Japan, and the infamous 1-0 defeat to Italy in the last 16.
Germany will take to the pitch under the leadership of Bastian Schweinsteiger after he took over as captain of the side from the retiring Philipp Lahm.
Loew will most likely use the match to test some fresh faces ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Georgia on the weekend.
Germany currently sit joint second in group D with Scotland and the Republic of Ireland on seven points after four games, three behind group leaders Poland.
The World Champions' last encounter against the Socceroos ended in a surprise Aussie victory by two goals to one.
No doubt the world champions will be looking to avoid a repeat of that result.
