SOUNDBITE (German) Pep Guardiola, Bayern Munich coach
"There was less room between the lines. Borussia Monchengladbach let the ball run. That makes it difficult to hit good crosses after defending. What we needed to do was engineer one-v-one situations but without Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery that was tricky. We played well during the first 25 or 30 minutes, we controlled the game and we had two chances to score. After we conceded the first goal it wasn't easy. Then we attacked, tried different systems and switched positions to get more crosses into the box while being wary of a counter-attack. In the second half we attacked more with the heart and in the last 10 or 15 minutes you give the opposition the chance to hit us on the break. But okay, that shows how tough it is to win and how competitive the Bundesliga is. This was the eighth match of the second half of the season, we are leading the table by ten points, we must keep trying to win matches and, of course, we'll do our best."
SOUNDBITE (English) Martin Stranzl, Borussia Monchengladbach
"It is a big win for us. It is probably the toughest place to play away from home in the Bundesliga. They are one of the best teams in the world at the moment. It was a great game. A great result. A great team performance.
