SOUNDBITE: (English) David Gill (On FIFA's announced increase of compensations for clubs for 2018 and 2022 World Cup):
"I think it recognises clubs, and we had this in the past, I was involved with the European Club Association when we first got compensation from both UEFA and FIFA to recognise that the product - the Euros and FIFA World Cup - and national team football is produced by players who are paid by clubs. So that is a compensation mechanism for those players."
SOUNDBITE: (English) David Gill:
"We'll have to wait and see, I think that what we've now got within the FIFA election process, we've got three candidates, and three candidates challenging Mr Blatter, who will be addressing the congress as I understand towards the end, so we'll hear the messages that they're going to give us and what their plans are. And then after that obviously the campaigning will continue right through until May 2015. Mr Blatter, as president of FIFA, currently will address the congress as I understand at the start, and give his messages. So we'll have to wait and see".
SOUNDBITE: (English) David Gill:
"I haven't looked at the numbers, but clearly Mr Blatter has great support around the world, and hopefully, as I said, people will listen to the debate and they'll listen to the candidates and make a choice. You never know, it's an open election: one association, one vote, and we have to wait and see what happens at the end of May."
