SOUNDBITE (English) Paul O'Connell, Ireland lock:
(On prospect of winning 100th Ireland cap).
"I think in some ways I think your first cap is probably a more nerve-wracking and bigger experience. I suppose I've been through it before. But it is a great honour and it's a nice little group of Irish guys that have done it before that I'm joining. So I'm very honoured."
SOUNDBITE (English) Paul O'Connell, Ireland lock:
(On longevity with Ireland).
"Rugby training or weight training or fitness or meetings or video analysis, it's never been a chore for me. I think that happens to some guys towards the end of their careers, maybe it becomes a chore for them. It's never been a chore for me. I always enjoyed it and I still enjoy it, and I probably enjoy it now more than ever - and that's probably one of the reasons that I'm still playing."
SOUNDBITE (English) Paul O'Connell, Ireland lock:
(On whether he shares view of Ireland teammate (unnamed) who admitted this week that the prospect of completing a Grand Slam is slightly in the back of the mind).
"Not really, not really. I think probably the possibility of a (Six Nations) Championship maybe is in the back of the mind. I do think the way Joe (Josef 'Joe' Schmidt, Ireland coach) prepares the team is a good way of actually dispelling those thoughts from your mind."
SOUNDBITE (English) Paul O'Connell, Ireland lock:
"I think England are a great side but I don't think they played well against us. Of all the teams, Wales, you know, later in the Championship playing at home in the Millennium Stadium, we're going to come across a great side tomorrow that are probably going to play great as well... and that's going to be a much bigger challenge I think than England in their performance produced two weeks ago."
