Ahead of the sides' English Premier League derby on Tuesday (3rd March) at Villa Park, West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis on Monday (2nd March) said recently-appointed manager Tim Sherwood has "without a doubt" got "a great chance" of getting Aston Villa out of relegation danger.

SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion head coach (on team's fitness):

"We're still not sure about Brown (Ideye) or Saido (Berahino), so, you know, that'll be a late call I think tomorrow before we make a decision on those two. I don't think Victor (Anichebe) will be fit for Tuesday night. So, you know, we've got one or two issues, yeah, one or two problems."

SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion head coach (on significance of Aston Villa match due to it being local derby):

"This Villa game's as big as, you know, the game was against Southampton (on) Saturday. It's for three points. Obviously, it's local bragging rights, which makes it a bigger game locally. But we're desperate to get the points to stay in the Premiership. You know, there's still a long way for us to go yet and we've got to make sure that we keep, you know, our focus and we keep moving on and get those points as quickly as we can."

SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion head coach (on recently-appointed Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood):

"I like Tim, he's a very, very honest straight-talking chap. You know, there's no fluff surrounding him. You know, I think he's a good football man. I think he's worked for some good managers and some good coaches, and, you know, I think he's taken on board lots of good things."

SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion head coach (on Aston Villa):

"They've got some very, very good players... and I personally... he's got a great chance of getting them out of it, without a doubt."

SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion head coach (on facing Aston Villa away again on Saturday in the sixth round of the FA Cup):

"We're thinking more about getting the points for us on Tuesday. Like I say, Saturday is not a concern for me one bit at the moment."
