Further reaction after the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 to win Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday.

SOUNDBITE (English): Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots Tight End:

"It was surreal that that even happened, I was like, 'Man, they got like about a minute left and they just made like a 50 yard bomb' and we thought the ball hit the ground and just when we saw it happen we just got up as a offence and got right, was getting ready to have a drive just in case they scored but they didn't and the game ended unbelievable."

SOUNDBITE (English): Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots Tight End:

"I always thought about this moment. That's when you start at the beginning of the season this is the moment that you think of, this is the moment you work for. It's just an honour to get to this moment and it's just an honour to be able to win the game with this team so, unbelievable feeling - everything I expected plus more."

SOUNDBITE (English): Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots Tight End (on Malcolm Butler's interception):

"I mean, I was just praying for an interception or if they ran it just a fumble or something. They didn't have a turnover all game and couldn't ask for a better time for a turnover so our defence played well and that was an unbelievable play by (Malcolm) Butler to get that interception."

SOUNDBITE (English): Rob Ninkovich, New England Patriots Defensive End (on Malcolm Butler's interception):

"Have you seen a play like that in the last, I mean, how many years have you seen a game come down to the last play on the three-yard line and it's intercepted to win the game? The kid's amazing, I'm telling you, he's a great football player."

SOUNDBITE (English): Julian Edelman, New England Patriots Wide Receiver (on quarterback Tom Brady):

"Tom's the best ever. I'm a big Joe Montana fan, I love him to death, I thought he was the best in everything. He won four, he's undefeated in four but they didn't have a salary cap back then. You know he had some great players around him, he had some great defences and all that ... Tom Brady came out here, he's been to six Super Bowls, he's won four, with the salary cap so it's hard to argue against that."
