  • Intro:

Bath booked their place in the quarter-finals of the European Rugby Champions Cup with a 20-15 win against Glasgow Warriors.

    Script:

In the Champions Cup Pool 4, Glasgow travelled to Bath looking to reach the last eight of Europe's top competition for the first time. They started well too, they were in front within the first five minutes. DTH Van der Merwe with the offload and Alex Dunbar with the finish.

That was converted but Bath closed the gap to just a point by half-time thanks to two penalties from George Ford.

Glasgow started the second half as they did the first, a move that started midway inside their own half was finished off by Ritchie Vernon in the corner.

Finn Russell failed the tough conversion and Bath hit back, this time with a penalty try from a rolling maul, Ford converted to put them in front.

Glasgow regained the lead for ten minutes thanks to a Russell penalty but with just over 14 minutes to go Bath struck the crucial blow, another penalty try awarded and Ollie Devoto converted.

The Scottish side piled on the pressure in the closing minutes but when Fraser Brown was penalised for not releasing just five metres from the line, their hopes were gone.

Bath win it 20-15 and go through as pool winners.
