Los Angeles perfect for Rams relocation

  • Intro:

A development group that includes a company controlled by the owner of the St. Louis Rams announced plans on Monday (5th January) to build an 80,000-seat stadium in the Los Angeles suburbs that could become home for an NFL team.

    Script:

Christopher Meany, Hollywood Park Land Co.
"Any team that might play in LA is entirely in the hands of the NFL. This is their decision - when and who would play in LA. I'd focus you on something else. LA is a terrific and great city. It's large scale venues are older. And the Kroenke group has a history of developing great venues across the country for multiple purposes. We will have a sports and entertainment complex here to host whatever sports are ultimately going to be in LA."

    Gerard McCallum, Project manager
"What we're looking do here is to improve upon that wonderful history the City of Champions has had in the past and really to propel this amazing project into the future. At the bottom line what is going to happen here beyond once you leave, what happens to the community is a great impact. Tens of thousands of jobs will be created during the construction phase. Thousands of jobs on a permanent basis will be created ongoing. So the impact to the community from an economic perspective is going to to be absolutely tremendous."
