Wrexham-born Mark Hughes looks ahead to his Stoke City team taking on Conference Premier side Wrexham in the third round of the FA Cup.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Mark Hughes, Stoke City manager:

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I think it'll be a great FA Cup day. They're bringing, I think something like 5,000 fans. It'll be a great day for them. From our point of view it's another game that we're looking forward to. It's a home game which we were grateful for and it's against a non-league team. From our point of view, it couldn't have been a better draw. The fact that it's my home town club - I'm pleased for them because it's important for their finances that they get a game against a Premier League club. But from our point of view we just need to get the job done. It's a competition we want to progress in this year. I feel we've got good opportunities if we get a little bit of luck in terms of draws. We're going to try and go as far as we can. If we can overcome Wrexham who will come here with a lot of heart and endeavour, make it difficult for us, but if we do our job right, then it should be a game we should be able to win and progress to the next round."

"I watched Wrexham all through my schoolboy years. The first game I ever went to was an FA Cup tie at Burnley, away, in the sixth round of the FA Cup. So that was the first ever live game that I experienced. I've always had an interest in their future and what they're doing and how they're getting on. It's a shame they've slipped out of the league. It would be great if they could get back in. They've been close on a number of occasions in the last three or four years and not quite made that final step. So hopefully in the next couple of years maybe they can get back in the league again."
