SOUNDBITE: (English) Sam Allardyce, West Ham United manager:
"I think that, from.... in terms of the players, in terms of where they are, the third game in six days, it was a big effort and, and the effort was there to try and break down a West Brom stubborn defence in the end and I think that.... when we got the one-nil up we didn't need to start over, being over adventurous and.... that's exactly what we carried on doing and being over adventurous.... we paid the price for that because, West Brom were really offering not a lot, and then we left the backdoor opened and they counterattacked. So, we had to then go and.... break a more stubborn defensive unit down once they got back to one-one and we found that difficult to do in the end, so.... I thought Aaron Cresswell had done it at, with one fantastic free kick that looked like a goal all ends up, but, fooled the 'keeper but unfortunately hit the post and came out and our finishing quality was, something that we wanted when we needed it just to finally finish West Brom off and couldn't find it today, but effort wise, tremendous effort from the players, giving everything they've got, but not quite good enough in the final third to finish West Brom off today."
