West Bromwich Albion have appointed Tony Pulis as their manager, replacing Alan Irvine.

Pulis has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal with the Baggies and will take charge after Thursday's Premier League game at West Ham United.

The former Stoke City and Crystal Palace manager, is the fourth man at the West Brom helm within a year.

Former head coach Irvine was sacked on Tuesday (30th December) after winning only four of his 19 league games in charge.

Pulis has never been relegated as a manager and helped Palace to 11th place last season, leading to the Premier League manager of the year award.

The 56-year-old will meet with his new players on Thursday before watching the game against West Ham from the stands.

His first game in charge will be the Baggies' FA Cup meeting with Conference side Gateshead at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
