But in the last probably two or three weeks, we've talked about it, we've talked about different scenarios, different opportunities and ultimately we just came to the conclusion that it was best for us to go in different directions."

"You know, we've just built so much, there's a lot of chemistry there with the guys that's been here through the four years with him (Jim Harbaugh). And I just think that's a great thing that we have and we don't want to lose that."

"Who we were, our identity in the beginning, before (Jim) Harbaugh even got here, I mean we were pretty much nothing. We were building. We were trying to climb and just trying to get somewhere. He came in and helped change the dynamic of this team and the culture and just helped us to grow and reach our potential. And he did that, we've had some good years here. We had some good games. We made it to the Super Bowl, which is the reason why we play this game is to make it to the Super Bowl, and we did that. But we didn't just, we didn't quite pull it off. But I must say he was definitely a fantastic coach."
