Script:
Gus Poyet, Sunderland coach:(On the match)
"Until the penalty incident it was a normal game. I don't think it was too much. They were playing in an unusual shape, we were adapting. After the penalty incident the game changed completely. The atmosphere in the stadium and the emotions of the players, because you are there if you play and you care, it is difficult to cope with those decisions. I think we spent too much energy thinking why it was not given."
Gus Poyet, Sunderland coach:(On playing in two days time)
"We shouldn't be playing two days later. I've been in England for long (time) and I think Boxing Day is a tradition and I accept it and think we should maintain it. Playing on the 28th is a disgrace, we shouldn't be playing on the 28th. We shouldn't. If you want to see the best players playing well we shouldn't be playing every two days because it is not needed. That's not tradition."
