NorthEast United hosted Mumbai City with both teams fighting it out to not finish bottom of the inaugural Indian Super League
The game started brightly - Mumbai's Lalrindika Ralte went close early on with a volley from range that beat the goalkeeper but landed on the roof of the net.
While Mumbai looked more likely to score early on, NorthEast broke the deadlock first after Tomas Josl was fouled by Deepak Mondal in Mumbai penalty area
Spanish forward Koke converted the resulting penalty to send the home side 1-0 up.
Abhishek Yadav went close for the visitors after the hour mark, but was denied.
But the visitors' pressure eventually paid off when, in the 84th minute, Sushil Singh's glancing header ended up in the back of the net.
The game opened up as both teams searched for a winner, and NorthEast midfielder Massamba Lo Sambou had a great chance to seal the victory but was left slightly embarrassed in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Mumbai finished the season in seventh place on 16 points while NorthEast finish 8th a point behind.
