Athletic de Kolkata, hosted FC Goa in the final round of matches in the Indian Super League and they started well, with Arnab Mondal's chance denied by Goa goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani.

The visitors who made nine changes, launched an immediate response - Portuguese midfielder Edgar Marcelino's with this thumping shot into the top right corner.

Mohammed Rafi could have levelled for the home side on the stroke of half-time, but Kattimani did well to prevent the ball going through his legs and into the FC Goa goal.

Half-way through the second half, man of the match Ethiopian striker Fikru Tefera broke through on goal and was unlucky not to draw level when his effort hit the post.

Seconds later, Fikru found himself through on goal again and went to ground under pressure from Goa's Bruno Pinheiro.

Pinheiro was sent off despite replays suggested minimal contact.

Fikru took the penalty himself - and sent Kattimani the wrong way to equalise.

His work wasn't done there and in the final minute of stoppage time after good work from Jakub Podany, Fikru's shot from seven yards out was saved by Kattimani.

1-1 it finished with Goa finishing second and Kolkata moving up to third place - the two teams will face-off again in the semi-finals.
