SOUNDBITE (English) Brendan Hamill, Western Sydney Wanderers defender: (on playing in the Club World Cup).
"It's a different stage, it's a different occasion. In our opinion, it's a different level, it's much bigger. Not taking away from what we did in Riyadh, but to be playing against the best in the world club-wise, for the players, you know, we're really excited and we're looking forward, you know, to testing ourselves as a team and individually against the best."
SOUNDBITE (English) Vitor Saba, Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder: (on Western Sydney Wanderers' Mexican opponents Cruz Azul, winners of the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League).
"Normally, the Mexicans play in a high tempo, they are very quick and they are fearless as well, they run and they have the technique as well. So, talking with the boys, I said if we thought Al Hilal (Western Sydney's Saudi Arabian opponents in the final of the 2014 AFC Champions League) and Guangzhou (quarter-final opponents Guangzhou Evergrande of China) were good sides, we can expect Cruz Azul to be a better side for sure."
SOUNDBITE (English) Brendan Hamill, Western Sydney Wanderers defender: (on taking part in the competition and the prospect of taking on Real Madrid in the semi-finals, should they beat Cruz Azul)
"We can't wait. The thought of playing Real Madrid is massive and everyone's on the same page, we're going to be working as hard as we can together, you know, the coach (Tony Popovic) is planning stuff for that to happen."
