  • Intro:

Besiktas have moved back to the top of the Turkish Super Lig following their 3-0 win over Trabzonspor.

    Script:

A long-range effort from Veli Kavlak kicked off Besiktas' mission to reclaim top spot in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.

Sitting third, a lovely touch by Demba Ba in the 21st minute allowed the 'Black Eagles' to double their advantage against Trabzonspor.

Slaven Bilic's side rounded out a fine display with another 4 minutes from time.

The 3-0 win pushes them back to the summit at the expense of Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

Galatasaray edged Akhisar Belediyespor 2-1 on Saturday.

Selcuk Inan's free-kick opened the scoring on 14 minutes.

Burak Yilmaz made it two in the 75th minute.

But there was late drama when Greek veteran Theofanis Gekas pulled a goal back in the 86th minute.

The hosts felt there was a dangerous high challenge, earlier in the move, but they held on for the win.

    Fenerbahce meanwhile beat Balikesirspor 1-0.

A grotesque mistake by goalkeeper, Emrullah Salk, ended in the only goal of the game.

They now sit third, a point behind Galatasaray, who are a point behind Besiktas.
