Ajax dominated Willem II at the Amsterdam Arena on Saturday, thrashing the Tilburg side 5-0.

Kolbeinn Sigthorsson opened the scoring on 14 minutes when he steered a shot across the face of goalkeeper Kostas Lamprou and into the far corner.

Arkadiusz Milik doubled their lead just before the half hour mark after coming on for an injured Sigthorsson.

Joel Veltman scored the goal of the game on 31 minutes with this deft chip over Lamprou to make it 3-0 for Ajax.

Willem's misery continued before the interval, as Ajax scored another goal courtesy of Milik, who bagged his second.

Davy Klaassen secured their fifth 12 minutes after the restart, capping a convincing team performance for Ajax.

They now sit a point behind league leaders PSV Eindhoven, who have a game in hand.
