  • Intro:

Paul Lambert and Nigel Pearson reflected on Aston Villa's 2-1 Premier League win over Leicester on Sunday (7 December).

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English): Paul Lambert, Aston Villa manager:

"Yeah, delighted that we won, delighted at how we've done it, and it's a massive three points for us. We're in a wee bit of form at the minute and yeah, delighted with the lads."

SOUNDBITE (English): Nigel Pearson, Leicester manager:

"Another frustrating day for us, you can't get away from that. With such a difficult run for us continuing, it's a tough one to take. We've taken the lead in the last three games and got nothing out of the games, so we have to look at ourselves in terms of the defending, certainly in terms of the first goal so quickly after taking the lead. We've got to defend that first contact in the box a lot better. And of course the second one, we get done on the counter-attack with an overload at the far post and the awareness wasn't there to deal with it."

SOUNDBITE (English): Paul Lambert, Aston Villa manager, on Alan Hutton scoring:

"(It's his first goal in) four years! So the answer to that is nothing... Listen, I'm delighted for him because I think he's playing as well as any right back in the country at the minute and it was a brilliant goal from Alan. He gives you the strength there, he's up and down, really, really fit lad and I think he's a really good footballer as well."
