Zorya have overcome Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 2-1, while Olympic Donetsk have been held to a 1-1 draw by Vorskla Poltva in the Ukrainian Premier League on Saturday.

    Script:

A sparse crowd saw Olympik Donetsk come from behind to draw 1-1 with Vorskla Poltva in the Ukrainian Premier League on Saturday.

Denys Dedechko gave the away side the lead with this free-kick five minutes in.

But Vorskla Poltva were reduced to 10 men shortly after the hour mark, after this reckless and unnecessary challenge by Ahmed Januzi.

The extra man seemed to inspire Olympik Donetsk, who secured an equaliser in the 85th minute.

Ihor Semenyna striking home from a free-kick to earn Olympik a point.

Third-placed Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk meanwhile failed to close the gap on Dynamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk after they were beaten 2-1 by Zorya.

A less than enthralling first half saw the fans entertain themselves with a snowball fight.

The second half was a more entertaining affair.

In the 51st minute the home side took the lead through Pylyp Budkivskyi.

And Kossi Prince Segbefia sealed the points with three minutes to go.

Smashing in from close range after a scramble in the box.

Dnipro striker Ievgenii Konoplianka pulled one back on the 90th minute.

But it was too little, too late as Zorya won 2-1.
