Reaction from both manager after Hull City and West Bromwich Albion drew 0-0 in the English Premier League on Saturday (6 December).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Steve Bruce, Hull City manager:

    (talking about the game)

"The longer we tried... I mean there was not lack of commitment, but we just lacked that cutting edge in the last third, the final pass. We found it difficult, I have to say. West Brom set up with five in midfield and I thought their two centre backs and their goalkeeper were excellent - I thought their two centre backs were excellent. We found it one of those frustrating days, but in the end, you take a point, move on because my goalkeeper has made a great penalty save and the save from (Craig) Gardner was arguably the save of the season."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Irvine, West Bromwich Albion:

(talking about his decision to drop Saido Berahino to the bench)

"We've asked an awful lot of him this year. He's just a young player. We've asked an awful lot of him. He's done really well overall, but everyone could see in recent weeks things were difficult for him and he was struggling to find the form he'd had at the start of the season. I made the decision to take him out of the firing line to some extent, and give him a little bit of a breather and take a little bit of that pressure off him. Hopefully that will be good for him. Hopefully he'll respond. I got no doubt his form will return, but like any player, like any striker you're going to go through spells when you don't play quite as well."
