    Basel extended their lead at the top of the Swiss Super League to eight points with a 3-0 away win at Luzern on Saturday (6th December).

    Script:

    It was top versus bottom, when Luzern hosted Basel in the Swiss Super League on Saturday.

    After a goalless first half, the visitors upped their game.

    Barely a minute and a half into the second period, Basel had the ball in the back of the net.

    But Marco Streller was rightly adjudged offside and the goal was disallowed.

    They finally did get on the scoreboard in the 55th minute when Matias Delgado rifled home from inside the box.

    The Argentine got his and Basel's second six minutes later.

    The points were made safe deep into stoppage time when substitute Breel Embolo volleyed the ball in from five yards out.

    The Swiss champions coming away with a 3-0 win to extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
