"Well if we can go and get a result it would be terrific. We know we're capable. It was only four or five weeks ago that we went to Liverpool and Arsenal. So we know we're capable but the one thing we're going to go and have to go is go and play well and go and find a bit of form and stop the silly mistakes which, unfortunately, littered Saturday's performance. So I am still optimistic we can and am still convinced we can have a decent season. It's been a really difficult spell - we know that. We are under no illusion to that but then again if we're still three or four points between all ten clubs (in the bottom half of the table) we're all the same. This is what it is at this stage of the season we'd like to have more points but it wasn't to be."

"Make no mistake, Everton are a very, very good side. They've got really top, top players and I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to be in the top six, seven again. I would have money that they're top eight and could be in the top six because I think they're a very, very good team so we're going to have to be at our best, we're going to have to start playing the way we know we can. If we do that and we play well and we're not good enough on the night then sometimes you have to accept that. But it's all about performance levels and if we get it right we'll be ok."
