Post match reaction after Burnley and Newcastle United drew 1-1 in the English Premier League at Turf Moor on Tuesday (2nd December).

    SOUNDBITE: Sean Dyche, Burnley manager

"I thought the first half we were excellent and I thought we had a real big chance just before half time to go two-nil (up). We kept them really quiet first half and played some very good football. We expected a reaction, it's fair to say, and we gave them the chance to react really with a poor goal by our standards, which was unusual for us, to be fair. After, they had pockets of good play because they are a good side, and so did we, and it became a bit of a ding-dong early in the second half. We created arguably better chances overall but good signs from us again, a very good performance again I felt, against a team who are in form barring a blip on Saturday (lost 1-0 to West Ham United)."

SOUNDBITE: Alan Pardew, Newcastle United manager

"Burnley closed the game down, they don't want you to open the pitch up, and you certainly have to take more risks than we did in that first half, because there is a reward if you take risks. But the pitch was tricky, and I wouldn't have said that if we'd lost, but it was really quick, icing up, so I brought some extra technical play on and we took real risks in the second half, and we got our reward for it. Sometimes, particularly in the Premier League, you have to take risks."
