    Sam Allardyce has admitted that he is considering sending a medical team out to the Africa Cup of Nations to work with the West Ham players selected for the tournament next January.

    "I think we would like to but of course it's the manpower in terms of what you can put together to send out to a group of medical people to look after the players whilst they are out there for that time and not leave yourself too short back here. It's obviously a difficult thing to do. If I had my choice, we would like to do it - but I don't think we have enough staff to cover the Africa Nations and cover ourselves whilst we are playing the hectic game load in January. But we are considering it or I am talking with our head of medical and seeing what the situation is when it arises."
